Fathom-UK CAT is now available on Nasdaq

Product launches 26.02.2021
Intro

Following its launch at the end of January, Fathom’s catastrophe model for the UK is now available on NASDAQ. Simulated at 30m resolution, Fathom-UK CAT quantifies flood losses and asset exposure for pluvial and fluvial perils.

Boasting a database of>10,000 unique damage functions, a key strength of the model lies within its vulnerability functions.

With the ability to differentiate between different building types (residential, commercial, industrial) and characteristics (number of stories and building age), the model accurately quantifies direct and indirect damages. This is key for those working within the insurance sector and also Governments and NGOs looking to leverage our data to reduce flood-related risk on a regional and national level.

By accessing Fathom-UK CAT through Nasdaq’s platform, users can view Fathom’s rich data in conjunction with other risk vendors understanding of additional perils, such as windstorms and earthquakes.

If you would like to find out more about the model, you can read an interview by Oliver Wing, where he discusses how the new model can support professionals to understand flood risk across the nation.

Alternatively, you can access our model through the Nasdaq platform, or get in touch with our team for more information.
