WSP enhances water engineering and climate advisory services with Fathom’s science-led flood risk intelligence.
Fathom has announced a new partnership with WSP, the global engineering and professional services firm, which will give WSP teams working around the world seamless access to Fathom’s flood and climate data.
Through this collaboration, WSP teams around the world will be able to integrate Fathom’s high-resolution, climate-conditioned flood hazard maps and global terrain data into select platforms and workflows. Ultimately, it will enable WSP’s engineers and scientists to better support their clients in their flooding and climate adaptation, mitigation and resilience planning.
With access to Fathom’s high-resolution, climate-conditioned flood hazard maps and global terrain data, WSP’s multidisciplinary teams across engineering, planning, event response and risk management will have a unified view of flood risk across geographies.
The partnership is a powerful combination of Fathom’s scientifically grounded flood-risk intelligence and WSP’s multidisciplinary engineering expertise that presents exciting opportunities for future collaboration.
Our data will help WSP professionals to:
Rapidly assess sites and screen asset portfolios for flood hazard and identify flood-risk zones early
Model future exposure to prioritize investment and help to future-proof water and infrastructure projects worldwide
Seamlessly integrate flood data into workflows and dashboards, and embed flood-hazard and climate information into design, planning and decision-making
Calculate financial losses due to flooding today and under future climate scenarios
Develop new value propositions for public sector and corporate asset owners and managers
“With Fathom’s science-led, peer-reviewed, global flood data, we can enhance our offerings to our clients with even more high-quality data and support their global programs with forward-looking insights and a harmonized view across increasingly complex built and natural environments.
