Joseph graduated from the University of Bristol with a Masters Degree in Physical Geography with Innovation in 2020. During his studies, Joseph explored Fathom data to understand extreme weather events, gain a statistical understanding of flood risk exposure and apply this knowledge to the insurance sector.
Having joined the Fathom team as a Developer in 2020, he hopes to utilise his understanding of data to improve and build upon Fathom models and their applications within different sectors. His experience working at Canopius will help him to achieve this, having spent some time there as a Data Analyst for the Property and Casualty team. Whilst there he was able to critically analyse historical data and improve their understanding of risks, costs and informed decision making.
