Geospatial Data Architect

Jo Kaye

Jo is responsible for shaping and maintaining the data architecture underpinning Fathom’s products. Her role focuses on implementing robust, best practice procedures, ensuring the integrity and quality of Fathom’s data, and the reproducibility of Fathom’s workflows.

Before joining Fathom, Jo worked in a variety of roles; from archaeology to geospatial to the extractives sector, with a focus on data analysis, standards, guidance, and management. Throughout her career she has had a strong focus on open source, open standards and open data. She holds a Masters degree in maritime studies from the University of St Andrews, and a Bachelors in mathematics and physics from the University of Durham.

Jo was drawn to the role at Fathom for the opportunity to solve knotty data problems in the process of implementing a truly top-notch geospatial data architecture at scale.

Outside of work, Jo can be found roaming Scottish Islands looking for her ideal home, running slowly up hills in the rain, and walking her two elderly Greyhounds.
