Charlie Binder Rios
Charlie is responsible for shaping global PR strategy, external communications and media relations.
He began his career in Southeast Asia as a journalist and analyst, writing geopolitical briefings for the Economist Intelligence Unit and covering Indonesia’s presidential election for VICE News. He later spent five years in Edelman London’s Corporate Reputation team, advising global brands, governments and NGOs on media strategy, sustainability and thought leadership. Alongside this, Charlie spent five years as a men’s fitness coach and is a qualified yoga teacher and personal trainer.
Energized by Fathom’s mission to help the world better understand and manage water risk, he now brings this multidisciplinary background to flood and climate risk communications.
Charlie lives in North Devon with his wife Isa and their German shepherd, Lua. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, mountain biking, drumming and writing.
