Fathom-US 2.0 flood hazard layers
City, county and statewide flood hazard layers
Inadequate and incomplete flood hazard data is a major barrier to comprehensive flood analysis and water risk identification across the United States. Although FEMA is an excellent resource, its mapping is a patchwork of small scale ‘traditional’ flood models which don’t always capture all river channels, leading to an absence of complete data for counties, states and effectively the entirety of the U.S.
To solve this, Fathom has developed off-the-shelf flood hazard maps that are available on request for every city, country and state in the U.S. Fathom maps build on the latest peer-reviewed scientific research and are available at a fraction of the cost and time of traditional modeling methods.
This provides engineers, regional planning groups and water specialists with consistent and complete flood data coverage, at speed, so that they can make better, faster, flood risk decisions on investments and design to protect life and property.
For a limited time, Fathom is offering this solution at a discount as part of its attendance at #ASFPM2022. Users can access off-the-shelf hazard maps that include:
- Pluvial and fluvial flood hazard layers
- 10 return periods ranging from the 1:5 to 1:1000 year flood event
- 10 meter resolution maps in GeoTiff format
Bespoke flood maps can be developed and are available on request.
