Callum Murphy-Barltrop

Callum brings both industry and academic expertise to his role as Environmental Statistician.

Having previously studied for his PhD at Lancaster University, Callum has a strong background in statistics. During his PhD, his particular focus was on extreme value theory (EVT), a branch of statistics that identifies the stochastic behaviour of extreme weather events.

As part of this, Callum co-authored several research articles on multivariate extremes and non-stationary processes. These can be viewed via his Google Scholar profile.

Callum has also worked as a Data Science Intern for The Vegan Society and Morecambe Bay Foodbank.
