We are pleased to announce that Dr Malcolm Haylock has joined us as Head of Catastrophe Modeling on March 1, 2023.
Malcolm is a highly experienced catastrophe modeling expert, who joins from Global Parametrics and has previously worked at both PartnerRe and Aspen Re, giving Malcolm a keen insight into the user perspective of how risk/catastrophe models are adopted and utilized. He also holds a PhD in Climate Science from the University of East Anglia.

In his new role, Malcolm will be responsible for advancing our catastrophe modeling portfolio, developing new approaches to building climate-conditioned flood event sets and supporting the strategic Fathom X Reask partnership launched last year to bring together risk data on the combined impact of floods and tropical cyclones.

Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Malcolm will work closely with our global team (headquartered in Bristol, UK) to develop and deliver cutting-edge risk models that address the ever-evolving needs of a wide range of sectors including insurance, engineering and financial markets.
