Monday 12 June, 9.30am

The UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment (CGFI) will host its second Annual Forum on Monday, June 12, 2023. The primary focus of the Forum will be on the significance of data, analytics, and innovation in promoting green finance both in the UK and on a global scale.

Distinguished speakers from various sectors such as industry, government, and academia will participate in the Forum. They will examine emerging trends and present inventive solutions for advancing green finance.

Fathom Chairman, Prof Paul Bates will lead a parallel session titled “Combatting wind-flood risks: Implications, understanding, and analytics from research to business.” This session will explore the consequences and understanding of simultaneous natural hazards, which can result in heightened impacts and damages. Given the changing climate, comprehending the development of risk arising from multiple co-occurring natural hazards is increasingly crucial. The session will feature the latest research on combined wind-flood risks, followed by a panel discussion on incorporating these research findings into business decision-making.

Other notable speakers at the event include Hannah Bloomfield, Jennifer Catto, Rowan Douglas, and Len Shaffrey.
